This is an exceedingly rare and desirable hand crafted exquisite case and sterling crystal shaving set. The set includes thirteen pieces with excellent cut crystal bases and hand etched Sterling Silver lids. The silver is hallmarked with the Queen Victoria 1838-1890 Duty Mark, Standard Lion British Sterling .925 Mark, date coded 1843, the uncrowned Leopard 1822-present, and "CRWS" believed to be an export or import mark. The set is in an very finely crafted box showing brass rounded corners and a J. Bramah 124 Piccadilly brass lock. The box has deep brown and light brown veneer that the collector believes to be Tortoise Shell (could possibly be Coromandel). The box has leather and velvet lining with hidden compartment for traveling mirror on lid. Each side has countersunk brass carrying handles. Overall very rare and excellent piece with wonderful condition for its age (only flaw is a crack on the lid). Set has all the original pieces (with one of the smaller crystal box bases being missing). Case measures 13 7/8"L x 10.5"D x 6"D. The set has
