British Sea service Flintlock pistol with Tower lock showing “G.R.” and crown, broadhead proofs, attached swivel ramrod in 65 caliber, circa early 19th century. The pistol measures 16” overall, barrel is approx 9”. The metal surfaces show a light gray patina with some light to moderate pitting and erosion. The markings are good and sharp and all parts are original. The left side of the breech shows (2) broadhead proofs.The stock shows small “G.W.” inspectors type mark on left side above the trigger. The stock shows a small hour glass shaped mark just behind the tang in the stock. The stock is in good condition with some dings, dents, small losses consistent with Military storage and use. Good to very good overall. From an old New York collector’s estate. Est.’$1000-$2000.
