British Proofed Colt First Model .41 Derringer
Manufactured between 1870 and 1890. German silver half-moon front sight and hammer notch rear sight. Standard two line Hartford barrel address followed by "No1" flanked by Maltese crosses, with a pair of British crown proofs on the underside. Matching serial number on barrel and butt. The frame has a broad scroll engraving with a checkered spur trigger and hammer. The grip area is iron, with shallow checkering on the sides and deep, sharp checkering on the backstrap.

Very fine. The barrel retains approximately 90% original nickel finish and the frame retains approximately 70% nickel finish, overall there is minor flaking and some minor scratches. There are a few minor dents behind the hammer. The barrel screw retains almost all of the niter blue finish and the hammer retains some flashes of case colors. Mechanically fine.
