British India, Victoria Queen, Gold Mohur, 1862, Calcutta Mint, Obverse: Crowned and robed bust to the left and in divided legend Victoria Queen, Reverse: One Mohur, India, 1862 within a beaded circle, outside the circle and within a beaded rim a ten pointed star with entwined scroll work, Type 5 as per pridmore, A remarkable and rare die variety, this coin exhibits features from both Verity 3 and Verity 4, making it a highly desirable and unusual piece for advanced collectors. O: Features a single flower in the bottom panel of the jabot, a key marker of the variety. Uniquely, a tiny "V" is visible in the relief at the center of the bust, precisely on the line of truncation—an uncommon detail that sets it apart from typical issues. R: While the reverse appears normal at first glance, close examination reveals a small "V" in the relief on the ornamental element within the outer circle, directly beneath the date—a second subtle yet significant feature. Almost Uncirculated, Exceedingly rare.
