<B>Two British Documents From the War of 1812 Period.</B></I> Includes a one page legal document, 8” x 12”, dated June 10, 1813, assigning power of attorney for a Colonel Robert Ward of Royal South Down Regiment of Militia, with various endorsements, with one pound tax seal in blind, toned else in near fine condition; and a one page printed warrant, 8” x 12.75”, St. Johns, Newfoundland, August 25, 1813, authorizing “<I>Sixty Three Pound, Nineteen Shillings, and one farthing</B></I>” to be paid on behalf of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment, with various endorsements on the verso, chipped around the edges with some old fold creases, else fine. <I>From the collection of Henry E.
