A fascinating and detailed breakdown of English military strength, including those serving in North America. In very small part, "...Establishment of the 60th CorRoy American Regt of Foot...Field Staff Officers. Colo in Chief...2 Majors...2 Chaplaine...2 Surgeons...Drummer...Disposition of the Standing Forces 1764, America & West Indies 20 Battns for Ireland...9 Whitmore's - Florida...22 Gages - Louisiana..." Much, much more. An interesting manuscript, meticulously listing every unit in the English army, breaking down their makeup, and noting their cost to the nation. Comes in its original binding, and signed on front endpaper "T Shorpe, 1764." Light scuffing to attractive original leather binding. Interior is in very good condition. $2,000-3,000
