Poem, written to commemorate man’s first trip to the moon concludes: “To see the earth as it truly is, small and blue and beautiful in that eternal silence where it floats, is to see ourselves as riders on the earth together, brothers on that bright loveliness in the eternal cold—brothers who know now they are truly brothers.” Signed in the border in blue felt tip by O’Leary. Page also bears a First Day Issue of the Apollo 8 stamp, postmarked Houston, Texas, May 5, 1969. In fine condition, with some light edge toning and a small pencil notation to bottom edge.
