Irish dramatist, novelist, poet, and political activist on behalf of Irish Republicanism. Long a heavy drinker (describing himself, on one occasion, as "a drinker with a writing problem") he developed diabetes in the early 1960s. This, combined with his alcoholism, resulted in his death at the age of 41. In-person AQS on an off-white 5 x 3 card.
