<B>The Brave and the Bold #34 Hawkman - Western Penn pedigree (DC, 1961) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white pages.</B></I> The first appearance of the Silver Age Hawkman and Hawkgirl, this is seldom found in high grade, in fact, we hadn't seen one graded above 9.0 before! This was just the third of DC's "revamps" of Golden Age characters, trailing only the Flash and Green Lantern, and for years it had an unaccountably low Overstreet value. Well, collectors have caught on to this key, which sports beautiful art by Joe Kubert. As one of the most collectible issues of a beloved series, this is one of those Silver Age copies with "through-the-roof" potential. Overstreet 2006 NM- 9.2 value = $3,900.
