Brass sextant in its original case, serial numbered 1230 with hand engraved makers name Knull & Downing, 80 W. India Dock Rd., London. The instrument is in good condition with some weathering and no cleaning andmirrors and glass are all good. The case contains 3 proper brass eyepieces and is also in good condition with the green felt lining very tattered. There is a label on the interior reads Lewis Weule CompanyChronometer & Nautical Instrument Makers, 6 California St., San Francisco and it is numbered 17 792. There is also another label from Northwest Instrument Company Seattle, Washington stuck inside the top of the lid.These instruments were serviced and regulated and often resold.
