19th century, height: (total) 15.5 cm, height: (figure) 9 cm On the bottom end (for exhibition purposes it is actually upside down) it is decorated by lovers standing with their backs to each other, both of them mutually cover their laps with their left hands and the right hands they use for covering their mouths. Their legs are slightly bent. The body of the flute is decorated by half circles, and it is cast using the lost wax method Provenance: Bobo or Senufo/Siena tribe (Burkina Faso or Ivory Coast), Starting Price: CZK 28,000; USD 820; EUR 932, Estimated price: (30,000 - 34,000) CZK., The shape of the flute is characteristic of a wide area stretching from Burkina Faso to Liberia. Both wooden and ceramic versions are known. The offered one probably belonged to some senior village chief or dignitary.
