Irish author (1847–1912) best known for his horror classic Dracula. Henry Irving (1838–1905) was a prominent British stage actor who was the first of his profession to be knighted. LS signed “H. Irving,” written in the hand of his secretary, Dracula author Bram Stoker, one page, 5 x 8, Lyceum Theatre letterhead, April 13, 1873. Brief letter of thanks to a woman. In full: “Many thanks for the token, & for the kindly spirit which prompted you to send.” Brush to end of signature, several small ink and pencil marks, and a central horizontal fold, otherwise fine condition.
