Irish author (1847–1912) best known for his horror classic Dracula. Henry Irving (1838–1905) was a prominent British stage actor who was the first of his profession to be knighted. LS, signed “H. Irving,” written in the hand of his secretary, Dracula author Bram Stoker, one page, 4.5 x 5.75, Lyceum Theatre letterhead, March 1879. Brief letter to a woman. Stoker pens the body, in full, “Thank you very warmly for your kind words.” Scattered toning and soiling, and a few stray ink marks, other wise fine condition.
