Brady Bunch 1970 Lunchbox and Thermos
This "Brady Bunch" metal lunch box was made by King Seeley Thermos Company in 1970. The box has a hinged lid with one silver metal snap and a collapsible red, plastic handle. The box features animated scenes of the Brady Bunch, with the boys and girls each having a side of the box, and an image of their parents marriage with them on either side on the lid. The Brady Bunch ran from 1969-1974 on ABC, but ran in syndication from 1975 onward, becoming ingrained in American pop culture. Even more special and rare is that it also includes the original thermos with the original glass liner. As anyone from that era who had a lunch box with a thermos knows, very few of these thermos survived even a few lunchtime breaks, since just one drop of the lunchbox would cause the glass liner to break, soaking your peanut butter and jelly sandwich and cupcake, and creating a horrid sour smell through the whole classroom! However remarkably, this thermos and its glass liner survived to create an amazing collectable set! Outside images on the lunchbox are in excellent condition with only slight wear showing on the edges. No dents. Thermos both inside and out is mint condition. Slight wear showing in the inside of the lunchbox. Box is 8.5"x7x4", Thermos is 7" high.
