Handwritten lyrics by Brad Delp for an apparently unreleased a song entitled "All I Want (is a little bit more of you)," one page, 8.25 x 11, no date. The lyrics begin: "I've got the rose you wore - on the day we met / I've got it bad for sure - my eyes aren't open yet / I've got a funny feelin' - when your next to me / But sometimes late at night - that isn't all I need." The "Bridge" and "1st Chorus" go: "You've got everything I'm lookin for / But all I want is a little bit more / All I want - is a little bit more of you / All I want - is just a little bit more of you." The song concludes with a "2nd Chorus?," which reads: "I've got your photograph / I've got the way you laugh / I've got your pledge to me / but all I want is a little bit more (of you) / All I want is a little bit more." In fine condition, with intersecting folds and scattered light creasing. These unpublished lyrics are especially interesting when set in opposition with Boston's classic 'Peace of Mind,' written by Tom Scholz and sung by Brad Delp on their debut album. While 'Peace of Mind' offers a plea for solitude centered on individualism—Delp famously sings 'All I want is to have my peace of mind' in the chorus—this song, with its chorus of "All I want is a little bit more of you," yearns for a complete and cooperative partner. Though what the singer wants may have changed, these lyrics represent a skilled song-writing effort. From the Brad Delp Collection, and accompanied by a letter of provenance from Micki Delp.
