<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="4"><tr><td><em> Gorgeous Collector's Piece from Taxco!</em></td></tr><tr> <td width="100%"> This is an absolutely outstanding example of design and craftsmanship that came out of the creative years of the Spratling influence on silversmithing in Taxco, Mexico. The Castillo brothers were among the first handful of young men trained at Spratling's workshop, learning every aspect of making silver jewelry, from design to the technical creation. After the marriage of Antonio Castillo to Margot van Voohries Carr (Margot de Taxco) and while still working for Spratling, the brothers began making and marketing jewelry designed by Margot. These pieces were so well received that the brothers ventured out on their own in 1939. While producing jewelry primarily designed by Margot, they were responsible for many technical and artistic innovations. This bracelet is a superb example of their expertise in design and craftsmantship as well as an historical example of the creativity of that time period. Although the bracelet is substantially heavy, 108 grams of sterling silver, it's design is feminine and its movement fluid when worn on the wrist. Each leaf is individually articulated, adding to the beauty of the whole piece. The bracelet measures 2 1/2 inches on the inside diameter, is 1 1/8 wide and 8 inches long and has a security chain. This is an incredible piece to add to one's collection. </td></tr><tr> <td> </td></tr><tr> <td>Reference #: GO_005BRAC</td></tr><tr><td>Condition:Superb, vintage condition</td></tr><tr><td>Year:40's</td></tr><tr><td>Country:Mexico</td></tr><tr><td>Maker:Los Castillos</td></tr><tr><td>Title:Bracelet Castillos Taxco Silver Signed </td></tr><tr><td>Materials:Sterling Silver</td></tr><tr><td>Location:Lake Tahoe, California</td></tr></table>
