<td width="100%">
This pliable plastic case is embossed with a stamp that reads "Boy Scouts of America National Council" with the fleur de lys in the center. The case is tan and has a brass snap closure. Inside are a knife, fork, and spoon. The fork is a little over 6 inches when unfolded; there is a can opener on the handle; the words "stainless pat. appl'd" are engraved on it; and it has a good spring action for folding and unfolding. The knife extends to 6 inches and is marked stainless Imperial; the boy who used this kit faintly scratched his unit name, "Winter Bourne," on each piece--which, I think, adds to the charm. The 5 inch spoon is marked Stainless by Imperial USA. Both the knife and the fork are stamped with the boy scout fleur de lys, which is surrounded by: "Boy Scouts of America Nat. Coun. N.Y.C." The utensils are in very good condition. The case has 4 slits on the back to weave a belt through. The upper side seams of the case are split (about a half inch down on one side, and a quarter inch down on the other) from use. I estimate that this kit is from the 1950s to 1960s. Please check my site for other Boy Scout collectibles I will be posting soon!
