Bowie knife marked J. Woodhouse Sheffield showing original half horse-half alligator pommel with ivory scales and original scabbard measuring 14 ½” overall with 10 ¼” blade. The blade is in good condition and is its full original dimensions with just some slight sharpening on the edge, minor cleaning with some erosion and pitting just starting. The ivory grip scales are in good condition and show some cracking and yellow patina. The Bowie is accompanied by an original to the period scabbard showing nickel silver mounts with proper hanger and just some minor normal age and it fits the Bowie perfectly and probably the original.
