Hirsch, Jacob. AUCTION SALES NOS. XIV THROUGH XXII. München, 1905-08. Nine auction catalogues, textually complete but for the most part lacking plates: only Sale XXII has the plates present. Auction XXI is the Weber Greek sale. Occasional text illustrations. Old tabs mostly worn away. The Weber sale includes a contemporary newspaper clipping about the sale and a couple pages of handwritten notes. Bound in one volume. 4to, contemporary blue cloth-backed boards; hand-lettered spine label. Binding worn and taped. Very good or so. A bound volume containing nine of these scarce and important sales, though sadly lacking the plates (except for the final catalogue). Spring 372-379. The Weber Greek sale is remarkably important and very scarce. Clain-Stefanelli 2000*. Grierson 288: “D’une richesse et d’une importance exceptionnelles.” Spring 378. Ex RBW Library.
