Constantly pursued by U.S. troops, his efforts to evade capture and remain free are legendary. Frank Randall was able to photograph a number of Geronimo's warriors in the spring of 1884 following their surrender to General George Crook and their return to the San Carlos Reservation. Geronimo and other Chiricahua remained at large in southern Arizona and Mexico at this time. Photograph taken by A. Frank Randall, Wilcox, Arizona Territory. On the reverse, glued over the photographer's studio imprint, is a strip of paper stating "Copyrighted May 16th, 1884, by A.F. Randall, in the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C."<BR><BR>
