Bottega C. Giovanelli Signed, Engraved and Gold Inlaid Limited Edition Winchester 125th Anniversary Model 94 Lever Action Carbine

There were only 125 of these beautiful lever action carbines manufactured with this example being number 26. There is beautiful deep relief acanthus scroll engraving covering nearly all of the receiver with flourishes of engraving on the buttplate, lever, forearm cap, rear of the barrel and magazine tube cap. There are two gold inlaid bands at the muzzle, the barrel markings are inlaid in gold and "125th Anniversary" is inlaid in gold at the rear. The left side of the receiver has the Winchester logo relief inlaid in gold with a banner with "125th ANNIVERSARY 1866 1991" inlaid in gold. There is a banner on the right side of the receiver with "WINCHESTER" inlaid in gold and the serial number "4900000" is inlaid in gold. The receiver is signed on the lower left side "26/125 Bottega C. Giovanelli". The barrel has a blade front sight and an elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight. Mounted on a beautifully figured, finely multi-point checkered, Turkish walnut forearm and straight grip stock with curved steel buttplate.

Excellent, 98% of the original blue finish remains with some assembly scratches on the magazine tube from the forearm cap and a few minor marks. The magazine tube band has some minor oxidation. The coin finished components remain bright with only minor marks. All of the gold inlay remains. The wood is also excellent with only a few scattered minor handling/storage marks.
