Both Issues of the Rare Unusual Stories Magazine
Both Issues of the Rare Unusual Stories Magazine 1934-1935. (Everett, Pennsylvania: Fantasy Publications, 1934-1935), two issues, March 1934: 16 pages, May-June 1935: 48 pages, both side-stapled in wrappers, Measurements: March 1934: 5.75" x 8.75"; May-June 1935: 5" x 8.25". These are the only two issues of Unusual Stories ever published. The advance issue of March 1934 promised a story from H.P. Lovecraft, but this issue was never completed. It was abandoned by the publisher, William Crawford in favor of Marvel Tales, but after that magazine folded, Crawford resumed publication of Unusual Stories the next year. The resulting first issue of May-June 1935 is nothing like the advance issue, and Crawford swiftly abandoned efforts to continue this or any other periodical. Condition: The advance issue of March 1934 is good, with some age-toning to the edges and some rubbing to the covers. The pages of the May-June first issue are about very good, with minor age-toning. The covers are fair, showing two vertical folds and noticeable paper loss and wear around the edges

Shipping: Books & Catalogs (view shipping information)
