<B>Boston, MA</B></I> - $50 1882 Brown Back Fr. 507 <B>The NB of the Republic</B></I> Ch. # 379<BR> This is one of the great notes in the Flynn National section. New to the census, it is the only $50 Brown Back known from this very scarce Boston bank and likely the very nicest $50 Brown Back known from Massachusetts, where the population of this type and denomination still can be counted on the fingers of two hands with a couple of digits left over. Fortunately for collectors, this is a beautiful as well as rare note, with only an old sheet fold at the top removing it from the full uncirculated grade. PMG has graded this bright pen signed example <B>About Uncirculated 53, </B></I>which we feel is quite conservative for such an attractive piece. Tom paid $900 for this note over two decades ago.
