Russian writer (1890–1960) whose novel Doctor Zhivago takes a place among the central works of twentieth-century literature. Russian mailing envelope addressed in Pasternak’s hand, 6.25 x 4.5, bearing his Russian signature, “B. Pasternak,” as part of the return address along the bottom edge. Cloth matted and framed, with a portrait of Pasternak and a biographical plaque, to an overall size of 21 x 19.75. In very good condition, with scattered edge wear and tear, as well as some scattered light toning, soiling, and foxing.
