<B>Elizabeth B. Custer: Books from Elizabeth Custer's Library: <I> Francis Parkman's Works: Montcalm and Wolfe,</B></I></B></I> Vols. I and II. (Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1890). Early edition, two octavo volumes from Elizabeth Custer's personal library, each bound in green cloth with embossed covers and gilt lettering on spine. The blank first page of each volume bears Mrs. Custer's ink signature: “Elizabeth B. Custer,” with a second signature in pencil. Elizabeth Custer was of course the wife and widow of General George Armstrong Custer. Minor scuffing to corners and edges, sheets are faintly age toned but not brittle.
