Book-style cased, engraved and ornamented U.S. Historical Society Single Action revolver presented at the Golden Boot awards personally by Roy Rogers to our consignor, .45 cal., 4-3/4” barrel, nickel finish, pearl grips, # 4-RR. Thisdeluxe gun is in overall excellent condition showing little handling, cylinder shows a drag line; engraving is tasteful and includes an inscription on the left side of the barrel “King of the Cowboys Single Action Army .45”; barreladdress is “U.S. Historical Society Richmond, VA, USA”. Roy’s signature is also engraved on the right side of the barrel and there is a plaque on the right grip that states “50 years of Entertainment and Public Service 1940-1990”. Thegun is cased as noted above, and the interior of the lid is personally signed by Roy Rogers and there is a photo of our consignor with Roy holding this gun and case and the photo is also signed by the King of the Cowboys.
