Highland Park & Fruitvale Railroad Bond Certificate. Incorporated in California. $500 Gold Bond issued in 1891. Signed by E. C. Sessions president and F. H. Woodward secretary. Vignette of the double decker passenger car invented by Sessions. Green border with orange underprint. Cancelled by hole punches through signature lines and through attached coupons. Printer - H. S. Crocker, SF. Thirty six coupons attached. The rail operated a 10.5 mile line that ran 8 double decker motor cars (almost identical to that shown in the vignette). E. C. Sessions was a real estate tycoon who designed the double decker passenger cars to transport people from his new subdivisions back to town. Sessions went on to a partnership with C. L.
