<B>Felipe IV cob 8 Reales 1649P-Z With Counterstamp,</B></I> KM19b, crude VF with a large natural planchet crack, bold P and Z and denomination 8 on the obverse, with a full date on the reverse, the 9 being weak but very readable. Counterstamped by order of the King in 1651-2 with a crown over L in a beaded circular indent, Sedwick 2, one of the more common varieties. There appears to be a second counterstamp along the edge, which seems to be the coat of arms in a beaded circular indent. (Sedwick does list a rare countermark, BANRE below castle & lion.)
