Bisque Porcelain White, hand created, hand painted by Mr. Ed Boehm and the Artist of the Boehm Studio in the USA. Boehm Studio Hallmark: 621. (RPC-624). Introduced in 1960, a small edition of only 80 sculptures. Early and rare, hand created and crafted by Edward M. Boehm and his Artists of the E.M. Boehm Studios in Trenton, NJ. Aproximately 80 of this 10" in height sculpture were made during its one year of production, 1960. It was the last religious figure to be introduced by the Boehm Studios while Mr. Ed Boehm was alive. The sculpture is a waist-length figure of Pope John XXIII in papal vestments, on a high rectangular base, emblazoned with his crest. His arms are bent at the elbows with his fingers interlaced and thumbs together. Authentic Boehm Signature in Script on the underside. Early, rare and difficult to obtain sculpture.
