Boch Keramis by Charles Catteau Art Deco Floral Vase, D1651
This creamware vase was produced at the Boch workshop in La Louviere, Belgium. The piece was created using the slip-casting technique and decorated with printed contours, which were subsequently hand-painted with enamels in green, black, pink (two shades), blue (two shades), and wine-red on a white ground. The floral motif is executed in the Art Deco style, with stylized blossoms and foliage arranged across the surface. The decoration is identified as number D.1651 in black. The vase was originally introduced around 1931 - 1932 and continued in production until 1940 using press-molding methods. The underside bears the Boch circular factory stamp in black, reading: Made in Belgium - Boch Fes - La Louviere - Fabrication belge.
