Bob Zeno WB Frog Original Painting in Folk Art Frame
This fabulous painting of the famous Warner Brothers Frog in a custom frame was all created by artist Bob Zeno.
The frog is Michigan J. Frog, who first starred in a Chuck Jones cartoon in 1955, and later became a mascot of the WB television network. He is in his most beloved pose here, tipping his hat.
The most impressive thing about this painting is actually its dazzling folk art style frame. The edges are adorned with 52 bottle caps from various beers, and a couple from sodas. The cross pieces have hand painted designs. A zigzag pattern, part of the backing of the frame, surrounds it all with brilliant hand painted designs, while the corners have painted cut-out stars. Medium: Acrylic paint on board Signed by the artist in white paint, lower left
Artwork dimensions: 16" x 22" Frame dimensions: 24 1/4" x 30 1/4"Condition: Mint Certificate of Authenticity: Included For anyone who loves the Warner Brothers frog, and wants a portrait that's unlike anything else out there, this is a fantastic original piece! Artist Bob Zeno is 70 years old, and lives in the swamplands of Louisiana. He occasionally sens us an original piece, but not often, so his art is fairly rare. A great deal of time is spent on each painting he creates, and as you can see in the construction here, the frame alone is a work of art.
