Hideout Records 45 RPM single record for 'East Side Story / East Side Sound,' signed and inscribed on the B side label in black felt tip, "To Peter, Bob Seger." In very good condition, with scratches to the vinyl and light scuffing to the label. Accompanied by a lengthy letter of provenance and an image of Seger posing with the original recipient, Grammy Award nominee Peter Kanze, author and radio/TV historian producer.

This is an excessively rare copy of Seger's first commercial record "East Side Story" on Hideout Records. "East Side Story" was recorded for a local label owned by a friend of Seger in January 1966. They only had enough money to pay for one song, thus the "B" side, "East Side Sound" is the instrumental track without vocals. It was enough of a hit in Seger's hometown of Detroit to later be released on Cameo Parkway records and made the charts in a few small cities around the country. The Cameo single is scarce, but the Hideout release is much more unusual and rarely seen. This, the original mix of these songs, has never been officially re-released.
