Bob Marley introduced reggae to the world, becoming the first Jamaican artist to achieve international superstardom before dying of cancer at the age of the 36. His close friend Allan Cole, a player on the Jamaican national soccer team, managed Marley's vocal group, the Wailers during the '70s, founded the Tuff Gong record label and wrote Marley's songs "Talkin' Blues," "Them Belly Full (But We Hungry)," and "War/No More Trouble."
