<td width="100%">
This piece is an old transferware Chinoiserie style bowl depicting a Chinese style scene with pagoda and three youth playing an unidentifiable game with equipment that appears to be tassles attached to sticks used to hit a circular item on the ground. It has a wonderful scalloped rim.

Unlike pieces I have found online, the characters in this piece have Asian features rather than English. It is marked on the reverse "Chinese Juvenile Sports" and "B". Possibly the "B" is attributed to Thomas Barlow.

The piece has a one major condition issue. A crack on one side of the bowl that resulted in a chipped piece that has been glued back in place. Despite the repair, there is a small piece (chip) missing. The crack is 2.75" vertical from edge of bowl down into center and 1" horizontal towards the bottom. It is visible on both front and back. The bowl has a few surface scratches in the inside bottom of bowl. The glaze is otherwise in good condition on the face of the bowl. The underside has a couple of small firing marks and some evidence of light porcelain discoloration under the glaze.
