Produced by New Paden City circa 1930s, this Elegant Depression glass SEVEN piece vanity set consists of two perfume bottles, a powder jar and a tray. The perfume bottles are each 5 1/4" tall with their ground stoppers and they have a fluted or ribbed base, the tray is 10" x 6" and is ribbed horizontally on the bottom, the powder jar is 4 1/4" at the opening and the bowl is 2" deep, with the lid it measures 4 1/4" tall. The set without the tray is shown on page 126 of Whitmyer - Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. With the exception of a few rough spots and two tiny nicks on the rim of the tray all seven pieces of the gorgeous Peacock blue Elegant Depression glass vanity set are in excellent condition.
