A cobalt blue doorknob set in an unusual step-down shank that may be European. The spindle has been replaced with a threaded rod so the original size is hard to determine. Note the several dings around the top edge. The door knob dates back to the third quarter of the 19th.Century so such wear is to be expected. The color is rich and deep.
