Blade II Blade (Wesley Snipes) Hero Wrist Garrote
From Guillermo del Toro's directorial turn on "Blade II" (2002), the hit sequel which many felt was even better than the original, this is a one of a kind hero wrist retractable wire Garrote screen used by Wesley Snipes. In a sequence near the beginning of the film, Blade confronts a group of Vampire Thugs in a factory, and ends up battling them in an alley outside. As they try to run him over with their motorcycles, Blade uses his various tools and fighting skills to do away with them. In one of the most spectacular moments, one of the Thugs, Jigsaw (Samuel Le), tries to run him over, but Blade pivots away from the bike like a matador, then leaps up high above the alley, somersaults through the air, then lands on the back of the bike behind Jigsaw. He then pulls a retractable wire from a wrist garrote, which he is wearing like a watch around his wrist. wraps it around Jigsaw's throat and with a violent twist, Blade decapitates Jigsaw. As the vampire’s headless body turns to ash before him in a shower of fire and sparks, Blade leans forward and takes the controls of the speeding motorcycle. This is that actual hero screen used wrist garrote. It is made of special metal, and has the spring loaded retracting reel on the back, and includes a Velcro-latched black cotton wrist band. The wire itself is missing, having been removed after the actual production stunt, but it also includes the metal cylindrical pull-tip, which Blade used to pull the wire out of the garrote then wrap around Jigsaw's throat. It still has a section of the wire attached. The wrist garrote is approx. 2" in diameter, and the pull-tip approx. 1". Comes directly from the production.
WHOOSH! Blade speeds after the other vamps.
