Blackstone Vanishing Birdcage. This is the Real Thing! An Original. Every show with Harry Blackstone Sr. and Jr. featured the Blackstone Vanishing Birdcage. It vanished into nothingness with many observers taking a part in the show. The cage was used by Blackstone, Sr. and later featured by his son, Blackstone, Jr., around the world as well as in his show, "Blackstone the Magnificient Musical Magic Show," the longest running magic show in Broadway history. The cage was made by Harrry Blackstone's brother, Pete Bouton. Bouton was both the other performer in the act "Straight and Crooked Magic " in 1908 and later stage manager. The cage is constructed of brass bars, with bright red ribbon trim and edging. It comes with a statement of authenticity from Gay Blackstone (Mrs. Harry Blackstone, Jr.). This is an opportunity to acquire a wonderful piece of history.

1. Opportunities Auction operates a small auction company with a limited number of personel. For this reason, we will not be able to provide further information on any of our lots with a bid of $1,000 or less. Please don't ask.
2. We have provided information that is correct to the best of our ability, and in some cases
the comments that we make are based on opinion. We insist that you use your own judgemnent or that of someone whom you believe is qualified to give you an assessment of the value of the any item for which you place a bid. We accept no responsibiltiy for any errors or omissions made by us.
3. All applicable sales taxes, shipping, etc. will be the responsibility of the buyer. There is a
20% sales premium applied to all sales made via e-bay/i-collector.
4. All disputes on any bids are settled by the auctioneer and his judgement is the final judgement. Tied bids swing to the floor bidder.
5. We accept no responsibility for any absentee bid that is not acknowledged by Opportunities Auction for any reason. We do our best to be fair.
6. We auction many categories of items, and we do not hold ourselves up as experts in many of the fields of items that we sell. You and you alone must accept the responsibility for any bid that you make, and upon placing a bid, you are making an enforceable binding contract.
