This is a 20th century Blackfoot Native American Indian handcrafted bowie knife and leather sheath. The piece is from the Montana Blackfoot (Blackfeet) Indians and shows excellent craftsmanship. The bowie blade shows a pictorial hallmark signature on one side and is marked, "#63" on the other. The Rocky Mountain Elk Antler horn handle was made using the burr as the pommel and has a slight curve (which fits the hand very well). The sheath shows a sued black leather construction with long white fringe. Knife is 11.25"L with a 6.25"L blade. Knife and sheath (with fringe) is 19.25"L.
