Black Powder Colt Single Action Army Revolver
Manufactured in 1875. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line Hartford address flanked by dashes, no caliber marking on the left side, the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, two patent dates and the left trigger guard shoulder is marked "45 CAL". Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard and backstrap with the partial number "9304" on the cylinder. The barrel has been shortened to it's present length and a dovetail cut into the muzzle and a brass blade sight installed. Donut shaped or "bull's eye" ejector rod head and fitted with one piece smooth walnut grips.

Fair with shortened barrel and a majority of the metal surfaces having a dark patina with some scattered minor pitting. The exception is the left front of the frame which has been polished to remove pitting, but is contained only to that area. The grips are fair with heavy wear on the lower edges, a large chip on each toe, a few minor pressure dents and a few minor dings. The markings are clear. The action is missing the half-cock notch and is out of time
