Fair. Overall the revolver has a smooth brown patina with limited traces of original blue finish in the protected areas found on the barrel and ejector rod housing. The patent dates are absent from the frame and have been removed as the patina is old in the place where they once were. There is a smooth gray patina on the grip straps. There are 4 deep notches on the backstrap and "X" marked on two cylinder chambers. The slightly undersized grips are fair with the left panel worn smooth and 5 light notches on the right panel. The right panel checkering is very good.
