Manufactured in 1889. The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, barrel length, blue finish, and hard rubber grips. The revolver was shipped to Colt's P.F.A. Mfg. Co. (address not listed) as part of a five gun shipment on January 18, 1899. The barrel has the one line Hartford address with the left side stamped "38 COLT". The left side of the frame has the three line, three patent date marking and the left side of the trigger guard is stamped "38 CAL". Matching numbers on frame, and grip straps with the assembly number "502" on the loading gate. Fitted with checkered grips featuring the Rampant Colt and federal eagle.

Condition: Good. The revolver retains traces of original blue finish and silvered out case colors in the protected areas with the balance a smooth brown patina. The worn grips are fair.
