According to the Colt factory records (copy of letter included), this revolver was shipped to Hartley & Graham of New York City on 15 March 1883. Notes from the consignor state that the engraving and finish was performed by H. Acevedo in 1971. Fixed blade front and notch rear sights, with the one line Hartford address on top of the barrel and the etched panel "COLT. FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER." on the left side. Black powder frame, with the three line, three date patent markings on the left side, and matching numbers on the frame, cylinder and grip straps. Overall, the revolver shows 70% coverage of fine scroll and punch dot engraving. With a smooth one piece ivory grip.
