Faison's Depot, North Carolina, March 31, 1865. "Quarterly Return of Ordnance and Ordnance Stores received, issued, and remaining on hand in <B>30th Regiment U.S. Colored Infantry</B></I>". Listed are soldiers' names and numbers of muskets, rifles, accoutrements and appendages returned. Soiled, minor tears, partially separated at folds. (2) Manuscript Document, 1p, 15.5" x 9.5". Station Beaufort, N.C., August 17, 1865. "Inventory and Inspection Report of Unserviceable Ordnance and Ordnance Stores for which Capt. G. T. Woodward <B>30th Reg't of U.S. Colored Troops</B></I> is responsible...." Certified to be a true copy by: <I>"H R Burnham/1st Lieut. <B>30th U.S.C.V.</B></I>/Comdg Co. In full: <I>"I have the honor to inform you that the discharge of the following named enlisted men, discharged from Hospital should be annulled for the following reasons. x x x x x Edwards Brooks Pvt Co 'H' 30th United States C.T. M.O. July 15th 1865 under G.O. 77 A.G.O. April 28 1865 <B>Colored Troops not being entitled to discharge under said order</B></I>"</B></I> This most probably was a copy requested for use by or for Edward Brooks as his is the only name listed and x's were placed above his name, probably where other soldiers' names had been listed on the original. Endorsements by other officers. Tear at left margin and plastic tape repairs resulting in stains where the verso of the letter page is attached to the integral leaf, otherwise in fine condition. (4) Partly Printed DS: <I>"John Ferris/Commissioner of Enrollment/1st Congl District of Ohio",</B></I> 1p, 17x11. [Ohio}, August 10, 1864. Receipt for payment of $111.11 to Ferris for his monthly salary ($53.33) and the monthly salary ($12.00) and clothing ($2.50) for <B>"1 private servant not soldier" named Jim Harvey, described as being 5' 8" tall, black complexion, black eyes, black hair.</B></I> There is also a charge of $46.50 for food ("subsistence") for both Ferris and Harvey, 5 rations per day for 31 days at 30 cents per ration. Folds, minor tear at right margin, lightly tanned at perimeter from prior framing, else in fine condition. (5) Manuscript DS: <I>"A A McKay", "A B Gandy", "W K Dobbins Jr"</B></I> and <I>"J C A Skillem",</B></I> 1p, 7.75" x 42.5" (separate sheets attached to form one long page). Prairie County, Arkansas, January 15, 1862.
