Beautiful white biscuit statuette of a boy playing a flute leaning on a tree trunk. It is marked on the underside with the Thuringia, Germany porcelain manufacturer mark of Scheibe-Alsbach (letter "S" over two crossed lines). It is numbered on the base 10136. Biscuit is unglazed porcelain with a matt appearance mostly used for making small sculptures. Biscuit porcelain is sometimes referred to as bisque or parian. In very good condition.
