Rare mining railroad. Pass no. 151, issued to DR Thomas. Preprinted signature of general manager DW Rogers. Two vignettes: rare mining scene and logging camp! Black and red print on light green cardstock. Printed by Rand McNally & Co. Adhesive residue on reverse. Operated 1890-1919. Ran from Talladega, AL to Pell City, AL, 22.9 miles. Reorganization of the Talladega & Coosa Valley Railroad. The company was controlled through stock ownership by the Northern Alabama Coal, Iron & Railway Company. The B&A completed a line from Renfroe to Cook Ore Mines, 10 miles, toward the end of 1890.
