The very creative artist known as Holdren has created a truly original oil painting entitled ?Birds Waiting?, which depicts two seagulls waiting on a rocky outcropping with some unique foliage surrounding them. In the distance a hazy horizon can be seen, alluding to new shores that are just begging to be discovered as it recedes into the soft background. While the two gulls and their immediate surroundings are in sharp contrast with the background, being much more powerful with its bold colors and brushwork. There is an impressionistic feeling to the rendering of the painting, but especially the yellowish tinged bush ? quick and fresh as the painter is eager to capture the moment. A magnificent frame composed of a rich brown inner liner, followed by a lush sage green liner, and ending with a gold outer frame with what resemble ancient runes carved into it, has been chosen to complete this piece. And it does indeed, by reflecting all the same hues found in the painting. Including this one of a kind frame, the dimensions of this incredible work of art are 19? x 23?. In addition, Holdren has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner. With its more modern sensibilities, this will be a welcome addition to any place. And while the birds seem to be waiting for something, you do not have to wait to add this gem to your collection. At such a remarkably low price, it truly is a treasure worth acquiring.
