Bing Crosby typed letter signed. Upon his personal stationery, Crosby writes to his friend, golf coach Henry Schmidt at the University of Santa Clara. Letter dated 26 September 1974 pertains to his sitcom, ''The Bing Crosby Show'' and reads in part, ''Dear Schmidty: Certainly glad to learn that you liked the television series that opened a couple of Mondays ago. It's just a simple little family thing, like most of the others, but we have tried very hard to make it maybe a little better or to keep the quality on a slightly higher level. It's difficult, of course, because...This is one of the few week-ends that I'm spending in the Los Angeles area, as I've been commuting most of the time up to Hillsborough...[signed] Bing''.
