Longtime owner of the Chicago White Sox, he signed the first black player in the American League. An unabashed promoter, he was responsible for the exploding scoreboard at Comiskey Park in Chicago, and in 1952 he sent a midget, Eddie Gaedel, to bat in a game for the Browns. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991. Glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in black felt tip. In very fine condition. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
