Bill Pogue’s flown sterling silver Skylab 4 (SLM-3) Robbins medal, approximately 1.5˝ x 1.25˝, with a raised mission insignia design on the face, and the reverse engraved with the Skylab launch date of November 16, 1973, and the landing date of February 8, 1974. Serial numbered "6F" on the edge. Condition is mint state. Accompanied by its original matching case, and by a letter of authenticity signed by Pogue, who states: “This medallion was in my PPK (Pilot’s Preference Kit) and flew in space…84 days and traveled a distance of 34 million miles…Each Skylab astronaut was permitted to carry twelve items in his PPK on his flight, the fewest allowed during the Apollo era.” A scarce low-numbered flown memento carried into orbit with Bill Pogue on his only spaceflight.
